Top marks for the dad joke and the recipe! I love cooking with chickpeas and just last week made this dish for a family reunion: https://tastecooking.com/recipes/vegan-causa-limena/ which also replaces tuna, my two year old loved it too! And we used the aquafaba to make pisco sours!
This sounds interesting - I've not come across this technique with chickpeas before - I'll have to give it a go (and I'm writing about vegan mayo this week anyway)...
I have no compaints about this becoming a vegan (no) fish series!! It's endearing and creative as heck - and appetizing, to boot.
this looks delicious - like you, I never really liked tuna, but I do like the chickpea version!
Had a good chuckle! Love garbanzo "tuna", never tried it with avocado etc., will definitely do so. Thanks!
war crime of a dad pun 😂

On a side note, I like your dad pun :-D
Fish - the last frontier for vegans.
I had tested a similar recipe (from Instagram as well) for the tuna spread, however this one raises the bar with the crispy rice and the avocado.
Straight to my pipeline of recipes to try!
