We were just at Okinawa World and they have two meal sets in their main restaurant that are vegan! We had a tofu meal set with a large bowl of tofu, rice, miso, seaweed, and veggie tempura. So full after out Y1100 meals. Lovely to see this at a tourist destination.

I am so glad to find your blog on Google. I am heading to Okinawa in three days for a week, and I need to prepare where to eat properly before the Okinawa marathon.

thanks for sharing your first-hand experience and vegan (friendly) spots.

I lived in Japan for four years, and spent a few weeks on Yoronto (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoronjima), not so far from Okinawa. It was heavenly.
