I absolutely loved reading about your vegan Lisbon experience! Kong was amazing - I went there twice during my trip and couldn’t get enough. The supermarket trips were super helpful too; it made it so easy to stock up on plant based essentials. Lisbon has such a unique vibe, and it’s so refreshing to see how vegan-friendly it’s becoming. Thanks for sharing this post, it brought back some great memories for me!

Ooh I’m going to Lisbon later in the year - very useful guide! Can’t wait to have the pastries.

kudos for sharing and taking the time to create such a comprehensive, reflective guide!

I would love to go to Portugal one day, of course ! and had no idea about that regulation of requiring a vegan option in federal-esque environments - what a fascinating thing. I'm so curious about what led up to this contemporary, rational decision.

and might I add, that small round pastry (?) in the bottom right photo quartet look amazing, as does so much!

> Auchan (a Portuguese version of Carrefour)

Actually, Auchan and Carrefour are two different (French) companies. Auchan was born in the North of France, while Carrefour started close to the French Alps. The latter inspired the creator of the former, and the two have widely spread outside of France (and even outside of Europe).

Ahah, weirdest vegan advice I've read. Still... it's a good (vegan) advice! :-)
